Education
The Washington Wizards Education pillar focuses on programming geared towards the next generation of fans from elementary through collegiate aged students that bridges the gap between education and basketball. Programming includes Wizards Back-to-School Tip-off, STEM, Dr. E.B. Henderson Essay Contest and HBCU Initiatives.
Health & Fitness
The Washington Wizards Health & Fitness pillar focuses on educating our fans on our primary awareness nights (Cancer Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, Heart Health Awareness, and MS Awareness) and partnering with community organizations to activate around those initiatives. The Wizards also promote the Health & Fitness pillar through our Youth Basketball initiatives by hosting specialty clinics, gameday clinics, and summer camps.
Mentorship
The Washington Wizards Mentorship pill focuses on fostering relationships with the youth and young professionals and provide them opportunities to grow in their personal and professional lives through programs such as our College Ambassador Program, HBCU Panels, and the Marcus Graham Project.
NBA Platforms
The Washington Wizards NBA Platform pillar focuses on executing programming vital the NBA League as a whole. These programs and initiatives include Hoops for Troops, Civic Engagement & Voting and NBA Foundation Grantees which includes Civic Works, DC Central Kitchen, MobilizeGreen Inc., National Center for Children and Families, National Center on Institutions and Alternatives Inc., and So Others Might Eat (SOME).
Community Assist
The Washington Wizards Community Assist pillar focuses on programming for the betterment of the DMV area and the best way to serve the community. These programs include The Washington Wizards Tree Planting, Season of Giving, Gun Violence Prevention, Community Ticket Program & In-kind Donations.
